Unique Director level leadership opportunity! 
Our client is seeking a well credentialed reporting professional to stand up and manage a new SEC reporting function for a multi-billion, international powerhouse.  The company is becoming an independent SEC registrant over the next 18 months and the task of managing the current reporting activities along with creating new processes, teams, timelines and projects will fall to the Director.
This rare opportunity offers exposure to executive levels of the organization, works as part of a broad and critical initiative underway at the company, and levers an ability to succeed in a matrixed organization. What will the Director, SEC Reporting do?
  • Manage the creation of a new independent SEC reporting function in a company that has previously consolidated its reporting to a parent.
  • Unbundle existing parent reporting processes, relationships and controls while working to provide concurrent reporting up to date of launch.
  • Influence topics and decisions around a new reporting design, new systems and new branding.
  • Provide thought leadership on challenges to change, new regulatory issues impacting reporting and technical accounting maters.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual financial results.
  • Prepare and analyze all financial statements, public reporting and SEC on disclosures required of a complex global entity.
  • Monitor changes in existing financial reporting standards requirements as well as new accounting pronouncements, including the evaluation and analysis to ensure compliance with all SEC, FASB and other technical developments.  Ensure effective communication of financial reporting requirements to all business units, including the impact of new accounting pronouncements.
  • Conceptualize, build and manage a high performing team.
What do you need to qualify?
  • 10+ years of related accounting/financial reporting experience.
  • Advanced SEC reporting exposure and experience required.
  • Excellent supervisory skills to include managing teams through tight reporting deadlines and process changes.
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management is a plus
  • CPA preferred, BS accounting or finance required.  MBA a plus.
