What does the Audit Manager do?
  • Work hand in hand with the Senior Audit Manager in constructing the internal audit plan.
  • Develop risk assessment strategies with a focus on retirement, broker dealer and advisory products.
  • Design and execute both integrated and standalone audits.
  • Manage fieldwork of several audits simultaneously.
  • Evaluate corrective measures taken to address unresolved matters and prepare summary reports for executive management.
  • Supervise, mentor and develop staff.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
  • Provide audit consultation for new business strategies.
What do you need to qualify for the Audit Manager position?
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance combined with 8+ years of relevant experience.
    • Experience in public accounting is required.
  • Must be well versed in the processes, systems and objectives of financial services companies.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA, CIA, MBA, CFA, FLMI certificates.
  • Knowledge with broker dealer operations and compliance matters.
  • Product knowledge with 401(k), 403(b) and 457 retirement products.
  • Working knowledge of DOL, ERISA, FINRA and SEC regulations.
